Dr. Wei holds a PhD. In Biophysical Sciences from the University
of Houston, and an M.D. from the University of Texas Medical
Branch, Galveston. His residency was in internal medicine at
the University of Texas Medical School, Houston, where he also
completed hiis Fellowship in cardiovascular diseases. The school
honored him with the Dean’s Excellence Award in four
consecutive years.
He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular
diseases and nuclear cardiology. Dr. Wei has written and coauthored
medical books and abstracts, and has contributed to numerous
professional journals. He served
as principal investigator in a Grant-in-Aid project of the
American Heart Association, titled “Molecular Characterization
of Fas-mediated Cell Death Signaling.”
Dr. Wei presently is the is
medical director of Cardiac Intermediate Care and Non-Invasive
Cardiology at Memorial Hermann Hospital, Texas Medical Center
and Chief of Medical Staff at Kingwood Medical Center on staff
at Memorial Hermann Hospital Northeast Medical Center.
