Dr. Agarwal graduated from University of Texas Southwestern
Medical School in Dallas. He then completed a residency in
Internal Medicine and served as Chief Medical Resident at
University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. He
continued his education there in the Division of Cardiovascular
Medicine and also served as Chief Cardiology Fellow. He was
awarded the prestigious “Clinical Fellow of the Year Award” each year the award was presented during his fellowship. Additionally, Dr. Agarwal was awarded the National Young Investigators Award for his research presentation titled “Frequency of Significant Incidental Findings in Routine Renal MRI/MRA Examinations Performed for Suspected Renovascular Hypertension."
With
a solid foundation in cardiovascular medicine, Dr. Agarwal
further pursued his interest in cardiovascular imaging at
the prestigious Cleveland Clinic Foundation where he attained
the highest possible hands-on training in cardiovascular
imaging utilizing cutting-edge technology in both CT and
MRI. Particular interests include non-invasive imaging of
the coronary arteries, aorta, peripheral vessels, ischemic
heart disease, cardiomyopathies, and congenital heart disease
and their implications on prevention and therapy.
A member of numerous pre-eminent local, national, and international
cardiology and radiology organizations, Dr. Agarwal is board
certified
in internal medicine and cardiovascular medicine. He
has published several articles and presented numerous abstracts
at national and international conferences.
